Is Derila Legit? What the BBB, a Consumer Group and the Return Policy Show
People search “is Derila a scam” because the pillow is advertised everywhere and the complaints are easy to find. We read the public record on September 23, 2026: the company’s Better Business Bureau profile and complaints, a consumer group’s investigation, the brand’s own return policy, and the checkout our link leads to. This is what it shows.
It is not legal or medical advice.
The Short Answer
- Derila is a real product from a named company. The Derila Ergo pillow is sold by EcomLT LLC of Franklin, Tennessee, and on the page our link opens, payment goes through ClickBank, a US online payment and affiliate platform.
- The company has a poor complaint record. Its BBB profile lists 319 complaints in three years, two alerts including a “Pattern of Complaints,” and no BBB accreditation.
- A consumer group told people to avoid the brand. CHOICE, in Australia, found extra pillows pre-selected at checkout on the brand’s own store and called its verdict “Steer clear of Derila pillows.”
- Refunds do happen. In many BBB complaints we read, the company’s response says it issued a refund, and 102 of the 319 are marked resolved, which the BBB uses only when the buyer confirms it.
- If you buy, buy carefully. Check the quantity and total before paying, decline add-ons you did not come for, and keep your order number. Our ordering and returns guide has the steps.
Who Is Behind Derila
The Terms of Service on the brand’s US storefront name EcomLT LLC, 354 Downs Blvd, Suite 102, Franklin, TN 37064. The BBB lists the same company, with a business start date of December 2022 and several brands under one profile: besides Derila, it includes Huusk (knives), Synoshi (spin scrubbers) and Klaudena, and complaints in the file also mention other brand names. CHOICE’s investigation, looking at the Australian storefront, identified a Lithuanian company, UAB Ausica, behind the brand there. We could not confirm how the two companies are related.
The company’s own affiliate materials, which we read while checking this offer, also show it runs several “advertorial” pages for this pillow, some with sleep apnea claims and professional personas we could not verify. Our Derila Ergo review covers why we do not link to any of them.
The BBB Record
As of September 23, 2026, EcomLT LLC’s BBB profile showed:
| Item | What the profile listed |
|---|---|
| Complaints, last 3 years | 319 |
| Closed in the last 12 months | 35 |
| Alerts | 2, including “Pattern of Complaints” |
| Accreditation | Not BBB accredited |
| Complaint types | Product 145, billing 68, delivery 38, sales and advertising 35, customer service 16, service or repair 14, order 3 |
| Complaint status | Answered 121, resolved 102, unanswered 73, unpursuable 18, unresolved 5 |
The BBB itself notes that complaint counts should be weighed against a company’s size, and that how a company responds matters more than the number. Because the profile covers several brands, not every complaint is about the pillow.
Among the recent complaints that were about the pillow:
- A buyer who ordered one pillow said the order came through as two, and that returning the extra one required a form link, return shipping and a restocking fee.
- A buyer who ordered two pillows and a pillowcase said the add-on was not what they expected and that later e-mails led to another charge.
- A buyer who ordered two pillows said they were smaller than advertised and uncomfortable; the company’s reply sent return instructions.
In several complaints, the company’s published response says a full refund was issued.
What the Consumer Group Found
CHOICE is an Australian consumer organization. Its investigation, updated in November 2025, placed test orders on the brand’s Australian store. It reported:
- Four pillows pre-selected at checkout when it ordered one, and two pre-selected when it paid with PayPal.
- Four add-on offers that had to be deselected before the order could be completed.
- A countdown timer that reset, “low stock” warnings and pop-ups about other buyers.
- A CertiPUR-US certification claim, with neither the brand nor its company listed in the CertiPUR-US database.
- Customers told to return unwanted pillows to Lithuania at their own cost.
Derila told CHOICE the issues had been resolved and that Australian customers could now return items to a local warehouse. CHOICE’s verdict stayed “Steer clear of Derila pillows.” Its findings describe the Australian store, not the ClickBank order form described below.
What Is Different on the Page Our Link Opens
We opened the product page our link leads to, without ordering. Each package has its own button, and each button goes to a ClickBank order form with that quantity already set: one pillow to a one-pillow form, two to two, four to four. We did not see a multi-pillow pre-selection on the single-pillow path. We did not complete a purchase, so we cannot say which add-on offers appear after payment; a recent Trustpilot reviewer described “pressure to upgrade with additional promotional items after the main purchase.”
Paying through ClickBank also adds a second refund route: ClickBank takes refund requests at clkbank.com within 60 days of purchase. For a physical product, ClickBank says the seller’s return policy still applies, so you would still send the pillow back.
The Return Policy, in Plain Terms
The brand’s return policy, read September 23, 2026:
- 60 days from delivery to ask for a return, through the support contact form.
- A return authorization (RMA) is required before you ship anything.
- Return shipping is on you and is not refunded; the return goes with tracking to a fulfillment center in Wayne, New Jersey.
- Non-defective items must come back “in a condition suitable for further use.”
- The refund is issued within 14 days of the return being received and inspected.
The page’s banner says “Easy 30-Day Returns,” which does not match the 60 days in the policy text. Go by the written policy, and ask support to confirm in writing if it matters to you.
Our Verdict
Derila is not a fake store: it ships a real pillow, from a named US company, and it does refund in many cases. It is also a company with a documented pattern of complaints about billing, extra items and returns, from the BBB and from a consumer group that tested the checkout. Whether that is acceptable is your call. If you do order, the safeguards in our ordering and returns guide are the ones that address the problems people actually report.
Whether the pillow itself helps is a separate question. The research on pillows and neck pain is limited, and no study we found tested this pillow; our Derila Ergo review covers it.
