Editorial policy
The rules we hold ourselves to: who pays for this site, what that does and does not change, and what we do when we are wrong.
The short version
Sleep Anchors is paid by affiliate commissions, not by the makers we write about. Makers do not pay for coverage, do not see a guide before it is published and cannot change what it concludes. We tell you where the money comes from, we show our sources, and we correct mistakes in the guide.

Who pays for this site
The site earns a commission when a reader buys through an affiliate link. That is our only income from a product. We run no display advertising and sell no sponsored articles. The affiliate disclosure explains how the links work.
What a commission does not change
- We do not accept payment, free products or other benefits in exchange for coverage or for a particular conclusion. If we receive a free product or sample, the guide says so.
- A maker does not see, edit or approve a guide before it is published. If a maker tells us we got a fact wrong, we check it and correct it. We do not remove a finding because it is unwelcome.
- The size of a commission plays no part in what a guide concludes.
- We describe a product under the same six headings whether or not we earn from it. Our Yu Sleep review is a product we earn from. It reports that GABA, one of the ingredients, has limited evidence, and that seven of its ten ingredients share one blend with no amount stated for each.
How we choose what to cover
We pick topics by what people search for and by what the pages that already exist leave out. We also weigh whether we can earn from a product, which means our coverage leans toward products with affiliate programs. A product that is missing here is not a judgment about it.
What we do not publish
- Claims that a product treats, cures or prevents a condition.
- Testimonials, before-and-after images or review counts presented as proof.
- Countdown timers, fake scarcity or pressure to buy now.
- Invented authors, credentials or reviews.
- Advice that stands in for a healthcare provider.
Accuracy and sourcing
Every health statement points to a source you can open, and each sentence that cites a source is checked against it before publication. The standards are on the sources and evidence standards page and the method is on the research methodology page.
Updates and corrections
Every guide shows the date we last reviewed it. When a price, a label or a study changes, we update the guide and change that date. If you find a mistake, write to editors@sleepanchors.com and we will correct it. If a correction changes a conclusion, a price or a safety statement, the guide says so.
Who we are
We are an independent editorial team. We are not doctors, pharmacists or dietitians, and nothing here is medical advice. How we review says more about who we are and where our limits are.
Questions
Can a maker pay to be reviewed?
No. We do not take payment for coverage.
Do makers see a guide before you publish it?
No. A maker sees a guide when a reader does.
Why link to products you earn from at all?
A reader who has finished a guide may want to see the product page. We label the link, put the disclosure next to it, and write the guide the same way whether or not the link exists.
