Derila Pillow Reviews: 6 Things Buyers Report, and How to Read the 4.1 Rating
The Derila Ergo pillow has tens of thousands of reviews, a 4.1 rating on Trustpilot, and a long list of complaints elsewhere. Both can be true. We read the brand’s Trustpilot page, its Better Business Bureau complaints and a sample of forum threads on September 23, 2026, and summarized what buyers report. We have not tested the pillow ourselves.
A review is one person’s experience, not evidence that a pillow helps neck pain or sleep.
The Short Answer
- The Trustpilot rating is high, but much of it is about ordering, not sleeping. Derila’s profile shows 4.1 out of 5 from 45,619 reviews. The company invites its customers to review, and many recent five-star reviews we read praise the website or delivery; one said it could not judge the pillow until it arrived.
- Comfort reports split. Some buyers describe good neck support, especially side sleepers. Others call it stiff or uncomfortable, and some report neck or ear pain.
- Add-ons are the most repeated complaint. Buyers describe extra items on the order, being charged for more than they meant to buy, and upgrade offers after checkout.
- Returns frustrate people. Complaints describe refused returns for opened pillows, return shipping at the buyer’s cost, and slow replies.
- Search results for “Derila reviews” include pages that are not reviews. Paid press releases and look-alike “honest review” posts show up alongside real ones.
How to Read the 4.1 Rating
Trustpilot’s page for Derila (derila.com), read September 23, 2026, showed:
- 4.1 out of 5 from 45,619 reviews, a claimed profile with a paid Trustpilot subscription.
- “Asks customers to review.” Trustpilot says the company invites its customers to review, positive or negative. Invited reviews are allowed, but they come from people contacted right after buying.
- “Replied to 99% of negative reviews,” with a note that the company may use Trustpilot’s AI-assisted reply tool.
Many of the recent five-star reviews we read were about the purchase itself: “Easy to navigate website,” “Quick service,” “Good purchase experience.” One said “Can’t tell till I receive the product.” Those reviews tell you the checkout was smooth for that person. They say nothing about whether the pillow helped. When you read the rating, look for reviews written after weeks of use.
Trustpilot’s own AI summary of recent reviews says the same two things we found: praise for the website and delivery, and complaints that “the checkout process includes too many extra add-ons,” with a few reviewers finding the pillows “uncomfortable and stiff.”
Six Things Buyers Report
1. Neck support that works for some people
Positive reviews describe firm head and neck support and a shape that suits side sleepers. One four-star reviewer called it “a compelling product, especially for side sleepers.” We could not check how long these reviewers had used it.
2. A pillow others found stiff or painful
Among one-star review titles: “Very uncomfortable pillow,” “Terrible product,” “the derila ergo pillow is all hype.” Trustpilot’s summary mentions reviewers who said the material caused neck or ear pain. A BBB complaint described two pillows as smaller than advertised and uncomfortable for the neck. A contoured memory-foam pillow is firm and shaped, which suits some sleepers and not others; our contoured vs. regular pillow guide covers what the research says about shape and height.
3. More items on the order than intended
This is the complaint we saw most. One-star titles include “I ordered for 1 and you billed for two” and “You charged for a pillow protector,” and another reviewer said they were sent three pillows instead of one. A four-star reviewer wrote: “I was charged for 2 dust covers although I only ordered 1 cover and 2 pillows.” The BBB file has similar complaints. Our ordering guide covers how to check the total before you pay.
4. Upgrade offers and follow-up e-mails
Reviewers describe “pressure to upgrade with additional promotional items after the main purchase,” and a one-star title reads “If you like being badgered daily, buy 1.” A BBB complaint says later e-mails led to an additional charge.
5. Returns that were harder than expected
One-star titles include “Returns not possible.” A recent reviewer said a return was first refused because the pillow had been opened and used. The written policy requires a return authorization, tracked shipping at your cost, and items “in a condition suitable for further use”; our is Derila legit guide lays it out. The company’s public replies often say a refund was issued once the case was reviewed.
6. Slow delivery for some orders
One reviewer’s title began “It takes FOREVER to receive,” and the company’s reply refers to a long wait for both the pillows and the covers. Others praise fast delivery. Delivery complaints make up 38 of the 319 complaints on the company’s BBB profile, which covers several of its brands.
What Is Not a Review
Search results for “Derila reviews” and “Derila scam” mix genuine reports with pages built to rank:
- Paid press releases. At least one “Derila Ergo Pillow Reviews and Complaints 2026: Is It Legit?” article we found was published through a press-release distribution service. That is paid, self-submitted content, not independent journalism.
- Scam-titled pages that promote. CHOICE, an Australian consumer group, reported that a search for “derila pillow scam” returned articles with “scam” in the headline that went on to promote the pillow.
- Look-alike forum posts. We found several posts in one small forum with very similar “my honest experience” titles. We did not count them as independent reports.
- Look-alike storefronts. Trustpilot has separate pages for sites with names close to Derila’s, such as “derilo-ergo.com,” with much lower scores. Those are different sites; a review of one is not a review of the other.
Forum Threads
On Reddit, a thread in a sleep apnea forum asked whether anyone had tried the pillow because the ads “looks like click bait,” and replies in similar threads range from good neck support to strong warnings about billing. A migraine forum thread asked the same question. Forum replies are anonymous and cannot be checked; we read them for recurring themes, which matched the six above.
Questions
Are Derila reviews real?
Many are. Trustpilot shows 45,619 reviews, and the company invites its customers to leave one, so many come right after purchase and describe the checkout, not the pillow. Read the one- to three-star reviews and those written after weeks of use to get the fuller picture.
What do people complain about most?
Extra items or quantities on the order, upgrade offers after checkout, and returns. Comfort complaints come next: some find the pillow too firm or painful.
Does the Derila pillow help neck pain?
Some buyers say it does, and some say it made things worse. No study we found tested this pillow. The research on pillows in general shows limited support for neck pain and no clear effect on sleep quality; see our pillows and sleep quality guide.
